Jason Neidleman is Professor of Political Science at the University of La Verne, where he teaches political theory. He is author of The General Will is Citizenship: Inquiries into French Political Thought (2001), as well as articles on Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Michel Foucault. His most recent publication is “The Sublime Science of Simple Souls: Rousseau’s Philosophy of Truth,” forthcoming in History of European Ideas. Professor Neidleman is currently at work on a monograph on Rousseau and truthseeking.
