Kerry Brown is Professor of Chinese Studies and Director of the Lau China Institute at King’s College, London, and Associate Fellow at Chatham House on the Asia Programme. He has written over ten books on contemporary China, the most recent of which is China and the New Maoists.

Shan Huang is a doctoral candidate researching on state-owned enterprises in China at the Lau China Institute at King’s College, London.
