Author profile: Alexandros Koutsoukis

Dr Alexandros Koutsoukis is a Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at the University of Central Lancashire. His work on populism grew out of his collaboration with Professor Andrew Linklater for a Leverhulme Trust project on Symbols and World Politics at the Department of International Politics, Aberystwyth University. He is also working on a book, based on his dissertation, tentatively titled, Surrendering and World Politics: Thucydides, the Peloponnesian War, and the Struggle for Self-Respect. He has recently co-authored, with R. Gerald Hughes, Clausewitz first, and last, and always: war, strategy and intelligence in the twenty-first century for the journal Intelligence and National Security. He is a recipient of the British International Studies Association Award for Excellence in Teaching International Studies (2019). He tweets @AlexKouts.
