Andreas Behnke is Associate Professor in International Political Theory at the University of Reading. His research interests include the Political Theory of International Relations, in particular Carl Schmitt, Critical Security Studies, Critical Geopolitics, Security and Globalisation and the of Global Politics. He is the author of NATO’s Security Discourse after the Cold War: Representing the West (RoutledgeAesthetics 2013), the co-editor (with Christina Hellmich) of Knowing al-Qaeda: The Epistemology of Terrorism (Ashgate 2012) and the author of numerous articles on international security and terrorism, including ‘Dressed to Kill: The Sartorial Code of Anders Behring Brevik’ in Terrorist Transgressions: Gender and the Visual Culture of the Terrorist, eds.
