Michael Lister is Professor of Politics at Oxford Brookes University, UK. His research focuses on the intersections between citizenship and terrorism/counterterrorism. He is the author of Public Opinion and Counterterrorism: Security and Politics in the UK (2023) and co-editor, with Colin Hay and David Marsh of The State: Theories and Issues 2nd Edition (2022). He has published research in Political Studies, Critical Studies on Terrorism, International Relations, Parliamentary Affairs, British Journal of Politics and International Relations amongst others. He has presented his research findings to the UK Home Office, the Welsh Assembly and to police officers across the UK.

Lee Jarvis is a Reader in International Security at the University of East Anglia. He is (co-) author or editor of nine books on the politics of terror and security, including Anti-terrorism, Citizenship and Security (MUP, 2015) and Terrorism: A Critical Introduction (Palgrave, 2011).
