Author profile: Thomas Otieno Juma

Thomas Otieno Juma is a  PhD Candidate in Political Science at Kisii University, a researcher and an author. He holds an MA in International Relations from Nkumba University and a BBA from Bugema Universoty. He has certificates in Negotiation and Conflict Management from the United States Institute of Peace; in Statelessness from the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR); and in Elections Management from International IDEA/ UNDP. Thomas is currently a Part-Time Lecturer at the Department of History, Political Science, and Public Administration at Moi University. He is also a part-time Consultant at the African Centre for International Relations and Diplomacy (ACIRD). His books include South Sudan: a New Path? Compilations and Comments on African Independence among others. He is a member of the International Political Science Association (IPSA)/ International Society for Development and Sustainability.
