Dr Alex Cruikshanks holds a PhD completed at the University of East Anglia in 2023, focusing on the role of international mediators in the effort to find a settlement to the Bosnian War in the 1990s. In addition to also being the creator and host of the podcast “The History of Yugoslavia”, their work focuses on peace negotiations in the former Yugoslavia and other ethnically polarised conflicts, particularly those involving ethnic partitionism.
