Diotima Chattoraj holds a PhD from the Department of International Development Studies (IEE), Ruhr-University Bochum (Germany). She is a social scientist with over 8 years of research experience in the field of Migration and Development Studies. At University Brunei Darussalam (Brunei) her research focuses on Skill-Mobility in Asia, the Rohingyas, Gender and different intersections across Migration and Security. Her areas of research interests include Asia, Sociology of Migration, Theories of Migration, Refugee Studies, Trafficking, Globalization, Climate Change, Development, Gender Studies, Security, Border Studies and International Relations. She serves as a peer reviewer for a number of international refereed journals including, South Asia Research and Comparative Migration Studies.
