Jacopo Bencini is a political scientist with extensive experience in climate diplomacy and UNFCCC negotiations. He works as Research Associate at the European University Institute, School of Transnational Governance, Climate. He has previously worked for the International Centre for Climate Governance and the German Development Institute – IDOS, among collaborations with the European Commission, African Union, Chatham House, and as advisor for civil society organisations. He has been delivering trainings on UNFCCC negotiations for Italian and international entities. Since 2024, he is also the President of the Italian Climate Network.
