Peter S. Henne is a Professor of Political Science and Director of the Middle East Studies program in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Vermont. His most recent book is Religious Appeals in Power Politics (Cornell University Press, 2023). He previously worked with the Pew Research Center, the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism, and as a consultant with the US government on counterterrorism. He holds a PhD in Government from Georgetown University and a BA in Political Science from Vassar College.
