Author profile: Claudia Marconi and Júlia Lira

Claudia Marconi is a Professor in the Undergraduate Program in International Relations and the Master’s Program in Global Governance and International Policy Making at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. She was a Jean Monnet Chair in European Studies at Alvares Penteado Business School (FECAP) and is currently the Academic Coordinator of a Jean Monnet Module in the same institution. Her research agenda revolves around the global governance of human rights, international and transitional justice processes and institutional mechanisms, as well as the theoretical debates of the English School, allowing for bridges between IR Theory and international political theory.

Júlia Lira is a Master’s candidate in the San Tiago Dantas Pos-Graduate Program (UNESP/UNICAMP/PUC-SP) in the research area of Peace, Defense and International Security. CAPES Scholarship Student She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Alvares Penteado Business School (FECAP) and is a researcher of the Study Group on Childhoods and International Relations (GeiRI). Her research interests are focused on child-soldiers, the participation of children in armed conflict and armed violence scenarios and the militarization of childhood.
