Write for e-IR
e-IR welcomes two broad types of submission: editorial comments and academic essays. All submissions should be in .doc/.docx (Microsoft Word compatible) format.
Essays may be of any length and must detail the institution at which they were written, the lecturer for whom they were written, and the year when they were written. These details must be added to the document (even if you have entered them in the upload form). A member of the editorial team will briefly review your piece and contact you once it has been published. Publication of essays can take up to 8 weeks at certain times due to the volume of material we receive, however we aim to publish within one month of receipt.
Editorial comments are usually between 800 and 1500 words, though longer pieces are welcome. They should reference or link supporting material where appropriate and make a clear argument. Please supply a short biography with your submission. All editorials are reviewed by at least one e-IR editor, and where necessary we will contact you to discuss any edits deemed necessary prior to publication. If you are responding to an editorial which has already been published on e-IR, please make this clear when you submit your piece. If your response is less than 800 words please use the comments facility on the site. If you are a student please indicate your university, the subject that you are studying and whether you are an undergraduate or postgraduate.
